Adam grew up near and spent his teenage summers along the stretch from Glenwood Bridge to the New Dry Creek Diversion. He has since become an avid whitewater kayaker and has paddled in many locations throughout the Pacific Northwest, Grand Canyon, and Costa Rica. His rafting experience beyond BROO includes private multi-day trips, volunteer trips with the Boise River Enhancement Network, and guiding rafts in Australia with the Cairns Adventure Group. Adam also serves as Administrative Secretary for the International Rafting Federation.

Designated Agent Vision Statement: The Boise River is my childhood home and it is a pleasure to provide opportunities for the community and visitors to recreate in it. As the designated agent of BROO, I will improve customer experiences on the river, balance operations with environmental sustainability, and work on ways to grow operations. I will continue to promote the practice of quality outfitting and provide guide employment to the Area.

Randy Eggert - Guide

Float the Boise

Randy Eggert arrived in town in 1995 to earn his bachelor’s degree in biology education at Boise State University. There he also found a passion for whitewater rafting and kayaking, climbing, backcountry skiing, backpacking, mountain biking and other excuses to head out into the wilderness.

He is grateful to have had the opportunity to hike from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail in 2021. He spent five blissful months sleeping in a different spot each night, savoring sunrise and sunset every day.

Besides guiding, Randy also works in environmental education and does his best to remain worthy of his PCT trail name: “The Science Sloth.”

Elliot Rowen - Guide

Elliot Rowen.jpg

A Boise native, Elliott Rowen has always made time for the Boise River since his first float in 1989. Having learned to love all of what the outdoors has to offer, he's often found out hiking in the Foothills or running alongside the Boise River on its extensive multi-city Greenbelt or even digging through the soil with other local Rockhounds. There's too much to see and do on this beautiful Earth to keep him stationary for very long, though. Be it solo or with a caravan, he travels the continental United States in his camper, along with his Adventure Buddy, Kohl, a sweet and energetic dog.

Whether it's local eats, drinks, or dives, Elliot's been around the area long enough to give you lots of suitable destinations after your ride with him on the river. "There's always time for good food and good fun here. I don't think I'll ever truly leave it." ~ Rowin' Rowen
